NSW projects

The NSWHPA administers the funding from the state fees as well as funding raised from other sources. This money is there to provide clubs with funding for projects beyond which they can fund themselves. This system helps keep club membership fees down and maximises the number of "free flight" sites available to HGFA members. The NSWHPA will consider funding applications from all NSW clubs and individual NSW pilots organising events. These types of projects can include:

  • Site maintenance and improvement
  • Pilot development
  • Site access and lease
  • Site acquisition

The NSWHPA is also running a  Sports Development Program. This program is funded by a grant from the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation. The Sports Development Program is targeted at increasing the participation in HGFA administered sports in NSW. The key aims of the Sports Development Program are to increase pilot retention in the sport through coaching and organised activities that expose pilots to new aspects of the sports, as well as to encourage participation by new members of the public. The NSWHPA executive committee encourages your club to contribute any ideas for consideration as part of the Sports Development Program.
